England vs Austria Programme & Ticket (28 November, 1951) Local this is a cracking pieceEngland drew 22 with Austria in a Wembley friendly on 28 November 1951 before a record 100,000 crowd in what was billed as the Match of the Century. Ernst Melchior fired Austria ahead, but Alf Ramsey equalised from the spot with the first penalty ever scored at Wembley, and Nat Lofthouse headed England in front. Ernst Stojaspals late penalty earned Austria a share of the spoils in a game that featured Arthur Miltons only cap and Ivor Broadis debut.
